Lingerbay is a place of extraordinary beauty which is accessed across the famous ‘Golden Road’ on the east coast of Harris. Along this journey the geology of the East of Harris is evident. Moorland is punctuated by mountains, rivers, glens and rocky shoreline. This landscape is littered with large boulders perched on an undulating topography. It is landscape that is in stark contrast to the west coast of Harris.
The proximity of two hills and a small valley further screen the unit from being overlooked, whilst allowing the unit to have spectacular views towards the Minch.
We wish to be light touch on the topography – the buildings will sit on concrete foundation walls
extending the bedrock upwards. This will allow the buildings to sit on a level whilst allowing the
landscape to continue under uninterrupted. The building will be prefabricated in panels prior to assembly.
